ADHD/ADD

Both of my sons take guanfacine, an FDA non-stimulant ADHD medication.  My older son takes Intuniv, the time released formula, but since my younger son will not swallow a pill, we deal and he takes his guanfacine twice daily.

Some moms have had success with other ADHD meds.  My boys have too much anxiety to tolerate stimulants.

Studies have reported a very high rate of ADHD symptoms in kids with autism.  Technically, "ADD" is ADHD, inattentive subtype.  This type doesn't show hyperactivity.  My older son meets this criteria and does really well on Intuniv, other than weight gain.

What's been your experience?
